St. Louis Craft Beer Week



The Wine and Cheese Place is involved in a number of events 
for 4th Annual St. Louis Craft Beer Week




Monday, July 30th
Goose Island Beer and Cheese Pairing

 – The Wine and Cheese Place Clayton – 6PM-7:30PM

$15 / person -

Join Goose Island’s Suzanne Wolcott (Head of Education for Goose Island and Certified Cicerone ) as she pairs some delicious vintage ales from Goose Island with the extensive and equally delicious cheeses from the Wine and Cheese Place. 

Here are the beers and cheeses we are scheduled to taste:  


Goose Island IPA - reception beer 

Matilda paired with Tallegio (raw milk)

Sofie paired with Delice de Bourgogne Triple Creme

Pepe Nero with Cave Aged Gruyere

Pere Jacques paired with a with 5 year Old Gouda

Bramble Rye paired with chocolate

With the increased choices in beers from St. Louis and the local area, we wanted to see how they stand up on the national level.

Wine vs. Beer : The Re-match
It is going to be a great event for both wine and beer lovers!
Special Guest-  Evan Benn of the St. Louis Post Dispatch returns for another edition.


This class will feature wine vs. beer paired with some cheese and light appetizers. We have our own Aaron Zwicker picking the wines and Evan Benn, beer writer for the St. Louis Post Dispatch "Hip Hops"picking the beers. Which will match better with the food?  This will be a fun and informative event for both wine and beer lovers.  Something for everyone for this re-match

We will have will use 2 bottles of these for tasting until they are gone and we will have the other 22 bottles for sale to the first people that want them starting at 4pm.  No pre-arrival reservations.


We will also taste a selection of other Stone Brewing beers also that night including many of your favorites.  I will set the list as we get closer.
