Sint Canarus

Sint Canarua Bierkraft Grant....$5.29 / 11.2oz
Brewed in full collaboration with Sint Canarus in Belgium, by Piet and Ben, Grant is a big bold Imperial Red Ale, with the piny resinous quality of the dankest American Hop-monsters, coupled with the fruity esters and dynamic body produced by Piet’s infamous Belgian yeast. Named for Ben’s Great-Grandfather, Grant is a strong old soul of a brew - vibrantly fresh while young, wise and contemplative with age. 10.4% ABV.

brewed at: Sint Canarus, Deinze-Gottem, Belgium

Lips of Faith  Super Cru....$11.99
"Imperial Fat Tire" -- Fat Tire with everything doubled
(Fort Collins, CO) – In honor of New Belgium’s 20th anniversary celebration, the brewery’s flagship Fat Tire Amber Ale is getting a makeover. The result is New Belgium Super Cru, which is part of New Belgium’s esteemed Lips of Faith Series. This special creation, along with Abbey Grand Cru, make up the second rollout of Lips of Faith beers this year. The quarterly program taps the creativity of New Belgium’s brewers and delivers unique, short-run batches.

Super Cru is a big, beautiful double version of Fat Tire Amber Ale, doubling the malt bill and hop profile of the traditional version. To accentuate the fresh apple ester of Fat Tire, New Belgium added Asian pear juice and tweaked it further with a saison yeast. Super Cru opens with a big bready nose, rolls from floral hop to earthy malt and finishes with a touch of clove." ---

Lips of Faith Grand Cru Abbey Ale...$7.99
Before there was New Belgium Brewing, there was Abbey Ale. It was the first beer of home brewer and New Belgium co-founder, Jeff Lebesch. So the love brews deep for Abbey Grand Cru.

To date, Abbey Ale has garnered no less than 16 medals at the Great American Beer Festival 7 of those being Gold. Take that award-winning recipe, precisely increase the hops, malt and fermentation time, and the result is a Grand Cru worth collecting. And that s exactly what many of us at New Belgium, as well as a growing number of fans, have done.

By saving it for a few years, Abbey Grand Cru will continue to improve and age deliciously. Optimal storage is a cool (40-55°), dark place where the bottles can remain undisturbed. But lest we forget, it is a great beer and great beers deserve to be enjoyed. Best served at cellar temperature in a wide-mouthed glass. Toast to the monk s virtue and have a heavenly experience.

Just the facts Ma'am...

Westons Cider

Another new cider for us....

Westons Cider Oak Conditioned Extra Dry...$3.99 / pint
A very dry, crisp tasting cider. Fermented and matured in old oak vats to develop its very special character and flavor.

One of the best-known brands of cider in the world, Westons has been pressing and fermenting in the Herefordshire village of Much Marcle for 130 years. Founded in 1880 by Henry Weston, it's still a family run business, with Henry's great-grandaughter, Helen, at the helm. They're still making cider the traditional way, otherwise known as the right way.

Oliver's ciders

Oliver's Cider and Perry House crafts its products in small batches, using fresh (mostly hand-picked) unsprayed fruit, with minimal intervention. These ciders and perries are distinctive and handsomely presented, respecting the great heritage and traditions of the past but with an eye to innovating for the future.

Oliver's strives to produce premium products, while valuing the health and well being of its consumers, its employees, the earth's natural resources, and the environment.

Oliver's Hereforshire Dry Cider...$9.99 / 750ml
A still, very dry cider, blended from selected varieties of vintage cider apples grown in orchards in Herefordshire, England. A very astringent, intense-tasting cider with a long, lingering finish.

Oliver's Heresfordshire Dry Perry...$9.99 / 750ml
This still, dry perry is blended from selected varieties of vintage pears grown in orchards in Herefordshire, England. A full tasting perry, rounded with hints of citrus, with good body and a lingering pear aftertaste.

Oliver's Herefordshire Cider Sparkling Dry....$12.99
Not only does bottle-conditioning add satisfying and elegant natural carbonation, the live yeast also creates a complex flavor-profile in this sparkling cider.

It just took first place in it's class in the three most prestigious cider competitions in the world: The Big Apple Cider and Perry Trials at Putley, Herefordshire, The International Cider and Perry Competition at The Cider Museum, Hereford and The Royal Bath and West Show, in Somerset, where it also won the Arthur Davies Cup presented to the best cider or perry available!

Dugges from Sweden

"Beer culture has been a real renaissance. Flavorful ale, porter and stout, has been rediscovered and it is earnestly discussing the enormous range of flavors and fragrances that can be accommodated in a beer glass."

Purus Vodka

Come taste Purus this Friday (5/27) from 4-6pm at our Forsyth location

Purus Organic Wheat Vodka....$23.99 / 750ml
In the Piemonte region of Italy sits a small distillery run by the second and third generation of the Sacchetto family. It’s located in the Northeastern part of the country, bordering France on the west and Switzerland on the north. The region is mountainous, but it also has a fertile valley where farmers grow organic wheat and grapes. It’s a picturesque landscape blending old traditions with modern cultivation techniques.

The Sacchetto family has operated in this region for decades, evolving from a family farm to a thriving organic enterprise.

The Sacchettos use fresh, crystalline water from the Italian Alps during the five-column distillation of the 100% organic Italian wheat. The vodka is then filtered through 1.7 million square meters of active charcoal to ensure that Purus holds to its definition – clean, genuine, refined.

The care used to produce Purus is matched by its environmentally friendly packaging:
  • 100% recyclable glass bottle
  • Tree-free label
  • Sustainable cork closure
  • Water-based adhesives
  • Soy-based inks
  • This dedication to craftsmanship is at the heart of Purus Vodka.

Ardbeg Corryvreckan is back

Back in stock at Forsyth and Ballwin.

Taste it tomorrow at our Ballwin location with the Ardbeg more

Available online

Ardbeg Corryvreckan Scotch.......$79.99

Ardbeg Corryvreckan: in a league of its own "Man the lifeboats! Here comes the second wave of this deliciously deep, powerfully peaty and wonderfully wild whisky. Corryvreckan takes its name from the famous whirlpool that lies to the north of Islay, where only the bravest souls dare to venture. Swirling aromas and torrents of deep, peaty, peppery taste lurk beneath the surface of this beautifully balanced dram. Its briny character of crisp seaweed, sweet vanilla and rich, dark melted fruits draws you into a long deep finish. Like the whirlpool itself, Corryvreckan is not for the faint-hearted!" -- distillery

"Ardbeg Corryvreckan Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Powerful, muscular, well-textured, and invigorating. Even within the realm of Ardbeg, this one stands out. The more aggressive notes of coal tar, damp kiln, anise and smoked seaweed are supported by an array of fruit (black raspberry, black cherry, plum), dark chocolate, espresso, molasses, bacon fat, kalamata olive, and warming cinnamon on the finish. Quite stunning! "

Odells Double Pilsner is back!

Odells Double Pilsner....$9.99 / 4pk
We feel the eyes of tradition upon us whenever we brew our Double Pilsner. But this beer is not just our tribute to the classic Bohemian pilsner – it’s our own craft interpretation of it. Refreshing and delicate yet bold and assertive, its clear golden color leaves nowhere for imperfections to hide but plenty of room for mystery.

Maynard James Keenan, for all intents and purposes, a Rock Star. The co-founder of rock music acts TOOL, a perfect circle, and Puscifer now enters into a new realm where he is an unknown...........winemaker. picture from Tool Projects

The wines of Maynard James Keenan

Arizona Stronghold DALA, Apache for “ONE”...$19.99

100% Cabernet Sauvignon
This Cabernet Sauvignon has power and subtlety with a solid bouquet of black currant, cassis, spice cake, fennel and graphite. There is a nice depth of flavors showing dark berry, dried cherry, cola, sassafras, cocoa powder and clove, with velvety tannins, structured acid, and a rich persistent finish. This young wine is very Bordeaux in style, we suggest decanting it prior to enjoying.
Enjoy with juicy steaks, grilled hamburgers or portabella mushrooms. Pairs nicely with rich meats and sauces.
Ageing: Neutral Oak, French, American
Cases: 960

2008 Arizona Stronghold "Nachise"....$21.99
52% Syrah, 27% Grenache, 15% Petite Sirah, and 6% Mourvedre

The bulk of the grapes that went into this wine came from the middle aged and “Norte” blocks of Arizona Stronghold Vineyard. The middle aged block is planted to an unknown syrah clone that was acquired by Al Buhl of Dos Cabazas in the early 1990’s. At picking, this fruit had very rustic flavors with good acidity and a lot of earth, spice, dark fruit and leafy characters. The syrah from the Norte block is a clone from Australia known as Shiraz-1. It showed more tannin on the palate with brighter, fresher fruit characters as well a lavender and pepper. Norte was also the primary source for the grenache and petite sirah that went into this wine which lent red fruit and a deep color, respectively.

This wine has beautiful aromas of concentrated dark fruits, mocha, tar, sweet cigar smoke, hints of black tea, star anise and pumpkin spice. The palate is immediately full and textured, with alluring crushed blackberry, plumb, raspberry jam and hints of stone fruits, transitioning to plenty of mid palate grip and underlying nuances of dried rosemary and bittersweet cocoa; leading to a very balanced and multi-layered finish.
2006 Merkin Vineyards Chupacabra....$18.99 / 750mlAnother project from Maynard James Keenan, it his wine from California.
The Chupacabra is the "shape shifter" - a wine that changes from vintage to vintage. The 2006 is a Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Sangiovese blend

White Dog is here!

Rare Release --
Very Limited!

At Forsyth only, but you can reserve it for pick up at any store online now

Buffalo Trace White Dog....$14.99 / 375ml
"In Kentucky, buffalo carved a pathway followed by America's first explores. Those brave pioneers distilled whiskey using traditional methods and drank it right off the still. They called it White Dog. This raw distillate was clear, un-aged and had a hint of sweet corn. Later distillers discovered this spirit was perfect for aging--creating what we know today as fine Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. We're still making whiskey on the spot where ancient buffalon once crossed the Kentucky River and following centuries of time-honored distilling tradition. Enjoy this White dog the way Americans did more than 200 years ago." -- Buffalo Trace

If you're a hop-head like us, then you'll love our Stone India Pale Ale! Medium malt character with a heavy dose of over the top hops! Stone Levitation Ale...$9.69 / 6pk
It's been said that "Gravity Sucks." Simple enough. Well, we at Stone have identified gravitational forces in the beer world. And we have come to the conclusion that they, well, see above. So we avoid these less-than-desirable gravitational forces. We avoid dumbed-down flavor profiles and the vigorous pursuit of the lowest common denominator. We avoid big dollar marketing mentalities. We avoid additives, cheap adjuncts, stabilizers and chemical preservatives. So in the defiance of gravity we bring you Stone Levitation Ale. This deep amber ale has rich malt flavors, a big hoppy character, citrus overtones (courtesy of the hops and our special brewers yeast) and modest alcohol.

Stone Pale Ale....$9.69 / 6 pk
Our flagship ale, Stone Pale Ale is our Southern California interpretation of the classic British pale ale style. Deep amber in color, Stone Pale Ale is robust and full flavored. A delicate hop aroma is complemented by a rich maltiness. This is an ale for those who have learned to appreciate distinctive flavor. Stone Pale Ale is great by itself, or with food that requires a beer of character.

Stone Ruination IPA...$14.99 / 6 pack
Stone Ruination IPA....$5.49 / 22oz
So called because of the "ruinous" effect on your palate! This massive hop monster has a wonderfully delicious and intensely bitter flavor on a refreshing malt base. One taste and you can easily see why we call this brew "a liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Those who seek, crave and rejoice in beers with big, bold, bitter character will find true nirvana in Stone Ruination IPA!

Stone Smoked Porter...$3.79 / 22oz
So you think you don't like dark beer? Prepare to believe. This is no ordinary porter. And if you are already among the enlightened who appreciate a fine ebony-hued ale, we think you will find Stone Smoked Porter to be a poignant addition to your repertoire. This beer pours a gorgeous deep mahogany crowned by a creamy head. Dark, smooth and complex, with rich chocolate and coffee flavors balanced by a subtle smokiness, this brew is equally delicious with meats or fine chocolates.

Rated 99/100 RateBeer
Stone Cali Belgique IPA...$5.49 / 22oz
When reading the name "Stone Cali-Belgique IPA", "Cali" hints that it is a California-style IPA, and this brew has an undeniable Belgian influence, indicated by the word "Belgique" (which is how Belgium's French-speaking population says the word "Belgian"; the Dutch-speaking Belgians say "België"). We carefully selected a Belgian yeast strain that illuminates a fascinating new aspect of the beer that is otherwise quite simply Stone IPA. The result is both completely new and different, while still being recognizable as a Stone brew—and Stone IPA in particular. Think of it as an otherwise identical twin to Stone IPA that was raised in a Belgian culture. Literally.

Stone Sublimely Self Righteous Ale....$5.49 / 22oz
"Black IPA"
We're brewers whose substantial mettle and idiomatic approach to brewing allows us to consistently create works of art such as this justifiably self-righteous ale. Its bitterness hits our sweet spot. Its blackness lightens our hearts. Its liquid dichotomy pulls it all together in this sublimely sacrosanct ale. Yes, we damn well know our stuff here at Stone, and it would be irresponsible of us not to acknowledge how remarkable this heavenly creation of ours is. Thus the name we are compelled to give it --- Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale --- serves as a reminder of just how good we are, in both liquid and verbal form.

We're certainly not perfect. Too often, we allow our modesty to get the best of us as we're simply not inclined towards senseless braggadocio. When you're good, you're good. And when you do something great, the least you can do is acknowledge it. Others benefit from knowing. In this case, we find that we are compelled to point out how amazing this ale is that we rightly call the Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale.

First brewed in 2007 as the Stone 11th Anniversary Ale, this ale was an instant hit. With us. Other folks with great taste loved it too, but we were focused on how much we liked it, and we felt it was truly sublime. That euphoria didn't last long though, as it was soon replaced with the grim reality that when we sold out of it there wouldn't be any more. For us. And that was simply unacceptable. So, we are now blessing ourselves, and you the enlightened, with this ale. Thusly, you may now revel in your own self-righteousness as you see fit with this glorious example of ours. You are genuinely welcome, as it is our pleasure.

Oaked Arrogant Bastard...$14.99 / 6pk
This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory --- maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it’s made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beer will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps you’re mouthing your words as you read this.

Too many strive towards complacency as a goal. We grow up thinking that the ability to become complacent is the equivalence of success in life. True Arrogant Bastards know that this could not be further from the truth. The real beauty, richness and depth in life can only be found if the journey through life itself is looked upon as a constant chance to learn, live and find life’s passion. Passion threatens the complacent, and fills them with fear. Fear of the new, the deep and the different. We, on the other hand, seek it out. Endlessly, joyously...and aggressively. To this end we bring you the “OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale.” Another reward for those seeking new sources of passion, and another point of dissension for those who are not.
Rated 99/100 RateBeer

Arrogant Bastard...$3.99 / 22oz
This is an aggressive ale. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory–maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it’s made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beverage will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make things taste better. Perhaps you’re mouthing your words as you read this.

At Stone Brewing, we believe that pandering to the lowest common denominator represents the height of tyranny - a virtual form of keeping the consumer barefoot and stupid. Brought forth upon an unsuspecting public in 1997, Arrogant Bastard Ale openly challenged the tyrannical overlords who were brazenly attempting to keep Americans chained in the shackles of poor taste. As the progenitor of its style, Arrogant Bastard Ale has reveled in its unprecedented and uncompromising celebration of intensity. There have been many nods to Arrogant Bastard Ale…even outright attempts to copy it… but only one can ever embody the true nature of liquid Arrogance!
