2009 Bouchard Burgundy

2009 Bouchard Burgundy

2009 Bouchard Pommard...$48.99
Tasting note: "Proust said that about 60% of this blend was from domaine fruit. An expressive nose speaks of pretty red berry fruit with subtle earth and sauvage hints that carry over to the rich and relatively full-bodied flavors that are shaped by moderately rustic tannins and a notably firm finish where a hint of wood surfaces. This is quite good but note that patience will be required, especially for a villages-level wine." - Burghound

2009 Bouchard Vigne de L'Enfant de Jesus...$91.99
Tasting note: "Moderate wood sets off very ripe aromas of black cherry, plum and wet stone that also characterizes the extremely rich yet beautifully detailed flavors that possess superb intensity as well as fine complexity on the tension-filled and wonderfully persistent finish. Terrific."
Rated 91-94/100 Burghound

2009 Bouchard Nuits Saint Georges Les Cailles 1er Cru...$89.99
Tasting note: A very ripe, indeed even slightly surmature nose of mild reduction, mocha and menthol aromas introduces extremely rich yet reasonably delineated medium weight plus flavors that are unexpectedly cool and tension-filled on the dusty and palate staining finish. Notwithstanding the cool impression of the finish, this is riper than I like and it affects the expression of the underlying terroir.
Rated 89-91/100 Allen Meadows' Burghound

2009 Bouchard Nuits Saint Georges...$43.99
Tasting note: "A ripe, earthy and somber red and dark berry fruit nose gives way to rich, forward and utterly delicious flavors that are quite firm but only mildly rustic, all wrapped in a mocha-infused finish where a hint of bitter chocolate can be found." -- Burghound
