Charleville Microbrewery - Ste. Genevieive, Missouri
Just released seasonal----
Charleville Maibock.....$4.19 / 22oz
"Maibock is a tradition from Bavaria brewed to celebrate the arrival of the spring season. Our Maibock is fermented with traditional Bavarian lager yeast prior to cold conditioning for eight long weeks. Two-Row Barley, Munich, and Carmel Malt build the base that facilitates the malty aromatic profile and deep bronze color. German Magnum, Hallertau, and Tettnanger hops make up the balance to form its depth and Character." -- Charleville
Don't forget their other great brews...
Half Wit Wheat....$3.19 / 22oz
"A cross between an American Wheat and a Belgian Wit, this refreshing ale is made with white wheat, ground corriander, and fresh whole oranges! Simply delicious served with a slice of orange." -- Charleville
Tornado Alley Amber Ale...$3.19 / 22oz
"Our Amber is a beautiful red color with slight sweetness and a wonderful blend of hops." -- Charleville
Hoptimistic IPA...$3.79 / 22oz
"We are really excited to feature our new Hoptimistic IPA!!! This is a very hoppy IPA with lots of complexity and wonderful hops flavors. Yum!" -- Charleville
Tripel Wit....$4.19 / 22oz
"A beer experience with a true distinction, our Triple wit is a unique bottle conditioned Belgian style ale. Made from two row barley, white wheat and rolled oats. To compliment the satiating taste only found by using a traditional top fermenting yeast, coriander and oranges are added. This addition during the brewing process lends to the delicate balance of flavors between the malt hops and yeast." -- brewery

Chardonnay Eden Valley...$12.99

This vineyard is located at Mt Crawford (Eden Valley), one of South Australia's consistently coolest grape growing sites.

"This sneaks up on you. A pretty, open-textured wine at first, but the pear, melon and spice flavors just keep sailing on, getting deeper and longer. It has elegance and restraint, but won't shortchange on flavor. Drink now through 2012. 2,000 cases made. –HS"

The Early Times Mint Julep Cocktail is a ready-to-serve beverage that has been the "The Official Mint Julep of the Kentucky Derby®" for over 16 years. Over 80,000 Early Times Mint Juleps are served over the two-day period of the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby, requiring 8,000 liters of Early Times Mint Julep Ready-to-Serve Cocktail, 2,200 pounds of freshly harvested mint, and 80 tons of shaved ice." -- http://www.kentuckyderby.com/

The Grade II Early Times Mint Julep Stakes on May 24 at Churchill Downs is sponsored by Early Times, the time-honored ingredient in mixing an authentic mint julep. Make a simple syrup by boiling sugar and water together for five minutes. Cool and place in a covered container with six or eight sprigs of fresh mint, then refrigerate overnight. Uber Sun...

Summer Seasonal just arrived...
Southern Tier Uber Sun Imperial Wheat...$5.99
“a galaxy of taste in every bottle”
It is through the movement of the universe that life presents itself in transformation. It is in this spirit that we make ÜberSun, a tribute to the dynamic energy of summer. The alignment of wheat and barley through this hop-infused brew embodies the solar system itself... This may be a difficult task, but one our brewers revel in! They brew a galaxy of taste into every batch. ÜberSun is the ultimate experience that will challenge you with each sip. ÜberSun Imperial Summer Wheat Beer takes off where our Hop Sun finishes. Like it’s little brother, ÜberSun is clean and full of flavor, but don’t pull an Icarus– this is one big beer! Pour a glass or drink straight from the bottle, it’s meant to be consumed wisely with friends between summer solstice and autumnal equniox." -- brewery

Limited and rare Rhones...

2006 Chave Hermitage Rouge....$199.99
"I tasted through the cuvees of 2006 Hermitage, and the least of them was probably the elegant Peleat, but it was still outstanding. Several of the cuvees, such as Meal, Bessards, and Les Beaumes, were upper 90-point material. This should turn out to be a great, great vintage for their red Hermitage as it reveals the classic cassis, crushed rock, and pepper characteristics along with enormous power, unctuosity, and richness. Licorice and black olive notes are also apparent. This is a dead-ringer for the 1991 Chave Hermitage, which is drinking spectacularly well today."
Rated 95-98/100 The Wine Advocate

2000 Chave Hermitage Rouge....$599.99
"Cuvee Cathelin"

"Surprisingly, there will be about 200 cases produced of a 2000 Hermitage Cuvee Cathelin. Based on earlier visits, I thought this cuvee would not be produced again as the Chaves were embarrassed by all the attention previous offerings received. However, they will continue to produce it as long as it does not detract from their classic cuvee. The Cuvee Cathelin displays more new oak than the regular bottling as well as firmer tannin, yet also great length, palate presence, and structure. Boasting a chocolatey, blackberry nose, huge intensity, and super elegance and finesse, it will require 5-6 years of cellaring. Qualitatively, it is no better than its sibling, but does possess additional structure and new oak characteristics. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2040."

"After 11 years of brewing beer with balance, our Brew Crew took a left turn with Hop Rocket Imperial IPA, a massive Imperial that focuses on the hops! At 111 IBUs, this huge ale Rockets off the charts with a massive nose of sticky, resinous hops and flavors of grapefruit, lemon peel, spruce, earthy mushrooms and dew-covered grass. While the focus truly is on the hops, a pleasant, sweet malt base backs the beer and balances it to a delicious level of drinkability with notes of toffee and freshly baked biscuits. This extraordinary Imperial IPA will age gracefully. Bitterness will become subdued and flavors will round out with age. A delicious brew for sipping, Hop Rocket will also pair nicely with many foods. Chimay Cheese and Beer

Chimay Trappist

They have recipes for both the beer and the cheese!
check out these great sounding recipes

"Covered with forests and pastures and crossed by numerous rivers, the countryside of Chimay has always been a livestock-rearing area. And dairy herds mean cheese! Since 1876, the Trappist monks of Scourmont have known the secrets of making this semi-hard cheese made from good milk from their farm and matured in the vaulted cellars of the abbey. Today, Chimay cheese is made exclusively with regional milk and the Trappist monks have modernised their production equipment. Technology has combined with tradition for the greater happiness of the connoisseur and Chimay cheese has adapted itself to high consumption whilst retaining its authenticity." -- Chimay

The 4 cheeses
(all 4 in stock at Forsyth and 3 in stock at Rock Hill)
Chimay Classic Cheese
"A semi-hard pressed cheese, the rind is natural, non-coloured, without preservatives and slightly flowery. After maturing for four weeks, its creaminess and fine taste of good, fresh, creamy milk give it all its flavour." -- Chimay

Chimay Grand Cru Cheese
"From an unchanged ancient recipe, this cheese is produced from pasteurised milk. Its rind is natural and it is matured for six weeks which gives it its pure and mellow flavour." -- Chimay

Chimay Cheese bathed in Trappist Ale
"The very personal preparation and maturing of this cheese make it an exclusive product. Its natural rind is bathed in Chimay Trappist beer so that its incomparable flavour flatters the palate and the nose." -- Chimay

Chimay "Vieux Chimay"
"The gourmet will appreciate the character of this hard cheese made with whole milk and formed through a long and careful period of maturing of a minimum of 6 months. It produces a fruity flavour which persists pleasantly in the mouth." -- Chimay

The Beer

Chimay "Red"
"Topped with a creamy head, it gives off a light, fruity apricot aroma produced by the fermentation. The taste perceived in the mouth is a balance confirming the fruity nuances noticed in the fragrance. Its taste, which imparts a silky sensation to the tongue, is made refreshing by a light touch of bitterness. To the palate, the taster perceives a pleasant astringency which complements the flavour qualities of this beer very harmoniously. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised." -- Chimay

Chimay "White"
"Named Cinq Cents, this beer with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth.
This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised." -- Chimay

Chimay "Blue"
"Named Grande Réserve, it is principally distinguished by its character of a strong beer. This is a beer whose fragrance of fresh yeast with a light, flowery rosy touch is especially pleasant. Its flavour, noticed when tasting it, only accentuates the pleasant sensations perceived in the aroma , while revealing a light but pleasant touch of roasted malt. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised." -- Chimay

Chimay Blue 2008 Magnum
"If you think that Magnum is just a Chimay Blue in a 150 cl (51 fl.oz.) bottle, you are forgetting one essential fact, for it is important to appreciate that a large volume of beer affects the development of taste in the second fermentation of the beer in the bottle and gives it a fuller and smoother character. A vintage like its little sisters of 33 (11.2 fl.oz.) and 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.), Magnum Grande Réserve may be conserved in dark conditions for several years. This is how the beer acquires a light and pleasant taste of port. Convivial and festive, the Magnum is a must for the connoisseur." -- Chimay

Kentucky Derby Edition...

Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby Edition 2009....$39.99

"Jockey-turned-artist Tom Chapman illustrates racing’s intensity with collectible bottle...
Louisville, KY, March 30, 2009 – Capturing the adrenaline-filled world of horse racing through the eyes of a jockey, Woodford Reserve, an award-winning small-batch bourbon, is honoring the country’s favorite horse race with the release of its limited edition 2009 Kentucky Derby bottle featuring artwork by retired jockey Tom Chapman.
“Much as we try, it’s impossible to express in words the intensity of racing from a jockey’s perspective,” said artist Tom Chapman. “My goal is to capture it with a paint brush and canvas, often using unique angles and vibrant colors to set the tone. But no painting can truly capture the vibrancy and intensity of the Kentucky Derby.”
Chapman’s vibrant, colorful image captures the excitement and intensity of the Kentucky Derby as two jockeys in brightly-colored silks concentrate on the race with the historic Twin Spires of Churchill Downs in the background. The artist’s signature adorns the neck band of the bottle, and an attached tag bears information about the artist and product. The limited edition liter-size bottle will be available beginning in early April throughout the nation in 38 states.
"Woodford Reserve is honored to partner with an artist who can capture the sport from a jockey’s viewpoint," said Laura Petry, Woodford Reserve brand manager. "As the signature bourbon of thoroughbred racing, we are proud to continue our partnership with Churchill Downs® and the Kentucky Derby.”
Woodford Reserve Bourbon is the “Official Bourbon of Kentucky Derby 135” and has served as the official bourbon for the past eleven years. It also sponsors a Grade I race, the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic, which is run on Derby Day, May 2, 2009, and has become one of thoroughbred racing’s premier events." -- Brown Forman

Aluminum bottle

Boulevard introduces the new ALUMINUM Bottle for their best selling wheat.
Boulevard Wheat....$1.79 / 16oz aluminum bottle
"16-ounce Container Expands Opportunities for Craft Brewer
KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 5, 2009 – Boulevard Brewing Company today announced the debut of a 16-ounce aluminum bottle for Unfiltered Wheat Beer, the brewery’s most popular offering. The package is expected to enhance distribution opportunities in locations where glass is prohibited, such as golf courses, pools, concert venues, and some outdoor events. The new metal bottles will hit the market beginning April 1.
The company’s choice of the container represents a departure from an exclusive reliance on the traditional glass bottle. “The environmental advantages of aluminum were an important consideration,” explained John McDonald, Boulevard founder and president, “but we added this package primarily to give consumers access to our beer in places that won’t allow glass and don’t have draught capabilities.”

Boulevard’s new state-of-the-art bottling line – installed in late 2008 at a cost of nearly $6 million – is being used to package both its traditional glass bottles and the new metal containers. Current plans call for limiting use of the aluminum bottle to its flagship Unfiltered Wheat Beer, which will continue to be offered in 6-, 12-, and 20-packs of 12-ounce glass bottles.
About Boulevard Brewing CompanyBoulevard Brewing Company has grown to be the largest specialty brewer in the Midwest, dedicated to the craft of producing fresh, flavorful beers using traditional ingredients and the best of both old and new brewing techniques. Boulevard’s portfolio of six year-round and five seasonal beers are available in a 17-state region stretching from Utah to Alabama, and from North Dakota to Texas."

More rare Fantomes...

In stock now at Forsyth!!

Available online at www.wineandcheeseplace.com
Fantome Black Ghost...$12.99 / 750ml
8% Stout
"Once described as a Belgian Irish-style stout, Black Ghost has undergone lots of changes over the years. It now bears no resemblance whatsoever to a stout, and brewer Dany Prognon has begun adding spices to the beer. What they are is anybody's guess . . . . the Fantôme confounds once again." -- importer

Fantome Chocolat....$12.99 / 750ml
"A Belgian saison beer brewed with cocoa powder and chili pepper? Ay, caramba! Score another one for the unpredictable brewery that was the first -- and so far, the only -- to make ales out of dandelions and mushrooms, among other things.
Fantome brewer dany Prignon confounds once again. With a name like 'Chocolat,' surely we have a deep, dark, rich beer -- a stout, perhaps? Wrong again!
Fantome Chocolat is actually pale in color, and the essence of the cocoa is very subtle, but experts agree that this is one of Dany's best beers yet. Naturally, it will be exceedingly rare. If you can find it, buy it." -- importer

Fantome Primtemps....$12.99 / 750ml
8% ABV - Saison

"Light, fruity and champagne-like. Fantôme brews special seasonal beers, never repeating a recipe from year to year. This one is for spring . . ." -- importer

"Named for a medieval Scottish sword, Claymore Scotch Ale is our tribute to the legendary “Wee Heavy” beers of Scotland. This malty, deep-ruby beauty features lots of caramel sweetness, a reserved hop profile, and a subtle warming character. Unlike its namesake, this beer only requires one hand, but it’ll still make you feel like nobility.

Food Pairings: Enjoy with:Pot roast with roasted vegetables, seared lamb shank with white beans, bread pudding. " -- Great Divide

Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
Beer Advocate style description
"Scotch Ales are strong ales, also known as "Wee Heavy." In the 19th century Scotland, they'd also be known as 160/-, a nomenclature based on the now obsolete shilling currency. Scotch Ales traditionally go through a long boil in the kettle for a caramelization of the wort. This produces a deep copper to brown in colored brew. Compared to Scottish Ales, they'll be sweeter and fuller-bodied, and of course higher in alcohol, with a much more pronounced malty caramel and roasted malt flavor. A low tea-like bitterness can be found in many examples. Best served in a "thistle" glass." -- Beer Advocate

Great Divide Espresso Oak Aged Yeti...$8.79 / 22oz
Rated A on Beer Advocate
Rated 99 percentile on RateBeer
"...is a new addition to the Yeti clan. A generous infusion of espresso adds yet another layer of complexity to this beer, combining with the vanilla oak character, intense roasty maltiness and bold hop profile to create a whole new breed of mythical creature. It’s official: You can now have Yeti with breakfast.

Food Pairings: Enjoy with: Breakfast burrito, eggs Benedict, hash browns, cheesecake, creme brulee." -- Great Divide

Delicious and limited...

I was shocked at the quality of these wines when I tasted them. I honestly thought they were going to be $40 bottles and when I saw the prices -- I took everything that came into St. Louis. Amazing wines! Reading about them tonight, I found out the winemaker is Mathew Rorrick who made wines at Peter Michael Winery at one time---one of the top wineries in California. Now I know how they achieve such quality, but do I do not know how they could charge so little for this quality and the tiny quantity they produce. Don't hesitate to try these world class wines!

2006 Elizabeth Spencer Chardonnay...$26.99
Sonoma Coast -- only 40 barrels made.
Winemaker’s Notes
Pure yellow gold in color. Crisp apple, honeysuckle, and summer melon aromas are complimented by hints of lemon meringue, clove and slate. Broad and generous on the palate, the wine has rich flavors of Meyer lemon, crème brulee, lavender and pear. On the finish, crisp acidity brings the broad palate into focus with long, lingering flavors of citrus." -- Mathew Rorrick, winemaker
2007 Elizabeth Spencer Grenache...$22.99
Mendocino -- only 20 barrels made.
Winemaker’s Notes
"Deep garnet color in the glass. On the nose there are fresh, intense aromas of rose petal, ergamot, black cherry, lilac, and peppercorn. Supple and round on the entry, smooth mature tannins build beneath layers of ripe plum, kirsch and a hint of mint. Lively red fruit flavors shines through to a clean and persistent finish." -- Mathew Rorrick, winemaker

Belgian classic...

Dubuisson Scaldis....$3.99 / 8.4oz
Belgian Quad
ABV = 12%
"Wallonia is the French-speaking part of Belgium and the province where Scaldis is made is called Hainaut. The word means "Land of groves" and indeed it is the richest agricultural province in the country. The Dubuisson brewery is in the hamlet of Pipaix, outside of Tournai. The brewery has been in operation since 1769. Scaldis (Bush at home) is 12% alcohol by volume. High gravity beers are generally quite heavy and sweet. Scaldis by contrast is quite dry with a pleasant nutty finish. Scaldis is brewed without evaporating or freezing out water. Its alcohol level is achieved only by fermentation. Three different malts go into Scaldis, making it a beer with as much nuance as warmth. Belgians are not big consumers of spirits such as cognac or brandy. Instead Belgians frequently enjoy full bodied beers, like Scaldis, before dinner as an aperitif or after dinner as a digestif. Scaldis should be served close to room temperature (6o°). At this temperature the roasted quality of the barley, the kettle-seared sugar flavors, and the clean hop finish truly bloom. Scaldis has a memorable warming quality." -- importer

Dubuisson Scaldis Refermentee Amber....$11.99 / 750ml
ABV = 12%
Biere de Champagne
"Scaldis Refermentee has been brewed expressly to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the creation of the world renown, Scaldis. Like Scaldis, it is deeply aromtic with notes of praline, caramel and vanilla and richly flavored. Then, thanks to a fine dosage of yeast, Scaldis Refermentee undergoes a natural re-fermentation in the bottle that further deepens its complexity and fullness of body, making it ideal for cellaring. Enjoy!" -- back label.

French Biere de Garde..

Castelain Blonde Biere de Garde...$9.49 / 750ml
"Yves Castelain, the proprietor and grandson of the founder of the brewery, is a central operative in the revival of artisanal brewing in France. He is doing this against a backdrop where more than 90% of the beer consumed is made by industrial brewers. We bring in three beers from this brewery: St. Amand is a traditional copper colored Biere de Garde, with a grassy earthy aroma and a hint of licorice.
Castelain is the classic example of the rare blonde Biere de Garde. Castelain has a sweet palate. Many beers that are sweet and malty have a tendency to be insipid. Castelain, on the other hand, has a great deal of finesse."

Dupont....

Back after a long absence in St. Louis...the beers of Dupont..
In stock now at Forsyth!!
Saison Dupont....$7.99 / 750ml
"BRASSERIE DUPONT- Six or seven breweries make Saisons. The undisputed classic of the style is Saison Dupont. It comes from an artisanal brewery that is also a working farm (eggs are sold in the ‘executive’ offices!) and produces beers with exquisitely hand-made character, and unruly clumpy yeast. When Saison Dupont first arrived in this country, we had to do quite a bit of explaining about the look of the beer. The brewery has cultured their yeast for taste and aromatic qualities. Because Dupont basically only sells beer from the brewery, they haven't concerned themselves with developing a yeast that travels well. For the uninitiated, the look of the beer is daunting. However, the sweetest rewards await the adventurous.
Saison Dupont is a delight to the taste buds. Snappy, yeasty, with a clean, bright quality. The Dupont brewery is run by Marc Rosier (brewer) and his sister (microbiologist). They also operate the farm, and are interested in sustainable agriculture." -- importer

Dupont Foret Saison...$8.99 / 750ml
Bottle-Conditioned Organic Saison
ABV = 7.5%
"Saison Dupont ...They also operate the farm, and are interested in sustainable agriculture. This has led to Foret, a Saison beer that is the first certified organic beer in Belgium. Foret is 5% abv, has the recognizable house yeast character, but it is more angular in its taste." -- importer

"[Foret] is an unfiltered organic Belgian ale from this well respected artisan brewery...The nose is a complex blend of spices and fruit- coriander, cinnamon, vanilla, pepper, figs, and a hint of toffee. In the mouth there are lots of phenols and esters adding lightness to the texture, with complex spicy malt and a subtle burning strength in the back of the throat. However, the strength is well disguised on the tongue- it is smooth and not too lively ( despite the 'pop' when pulling the cork ). Aftertaste is long, zesty, malty and spicy. This was for a long time the most interesting organic beer in the database, and is still one of the best. It's certainly well deserving of the World Beer Championships Top 10 award..." - Oxford Bottled Beer Database

Moinette Blonde...$8.99 / 750ml
Abbey Tripel
Moinette Brune...$8.99 / 750ml
Abbey Dubbel
"Saison Dupont ... Moinette is their homage to the Abbey Style. It is stronger and darker and richer than Saison Dupont. A favorite at our tutored tastings." -- importer

Dupont Biere de Miel...$9.99 / 750ml
"Biere de Miel is bottle conditioned and contains only water, barley and wheat, honey, hops and yeast. It has a marvelously delicate scent of honey, balnaced by a dry palate, resulting in a beer that is both estery and refreshing." -- importer

"Brewed with Belgian honey. Pale yellow in color with a marvelous floral scent. A honeyed richness coaxes the palate into thinking beer is sweet but the finish is dry with a noticeable hop tang." -- Importer

"Dupont is endlessly inventive! Biere de Miel is a great example of a honey beer. Particularly wonderful with wild game." -- Garret Oliver, The Brewmaster's Table

#1 White Bordeaux

From the Wall Street Journal
Dow Jones Wine Index
"The Dow Jones Inexpensive White Bordeaux Index In a tasting of white Bordeaux from the 2006-2008 vintages that cost $25 or less, these were our favorites. While there are many white Bordeaux wines on shelves, it's impossible to know which you might see. In general, we would buy them young. These are terrific with seafood, chicken, grilled vegetables and anything in cream sauce. When shopping for white Bordeaux, Graves is a good appellation to look for, and so is Pessac-Léognan, which is an especially choice area of Graves; wines from those places might be more expensive than basic white Bordeaux, however. Serve chilled, but let the bottle warm on the table and you'll sense extra complexity in many of the wines as their crispness is replaced with a kind of earthy soulfulness." -- Wall Street Journal

It is very seldom we have something on their list -- we got the #1 wine!
Their #1 pick...
2007 Chateau Graville-Lacoste...$15.99
"Château Graville-Lacoste 2007 (Graves). Very Good. Best of tasting. Mouthwatering. Lime, mango, grapefruit and sunny acidity, with a nice, round weightiness to it and a tiny hint of honey. Long, fruity finish. Complete."

It is always been one of our favorites from the original small, hands-on, importer---Kermit Lynch.

Broeckhouse Draupnir...$9.99 / pint
6.5% ABV
"From Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.com/): "Draupnir is a golden arm ring possessed by Odin, the highest god in Norse mythology. The ring was a source of endless wealth, since each ninth morning it spawned eight more gold rings just like itself. Draupnir was forged by the dwarven brothers Brokkr and Eitri (or Sindri) ..."The beers of the Vikings and ingredients used in Viking times were the inspiration for Draupnir.

It is a clear golden top-fermented beer with a nice lasting head. It is brewed with pale ale, munich, and wheat malt, which gives the beer a fresh mouthfeel with a discreet malt sweetness. Draupnir is moderately hopped with English Challenger hops and spiced with pine needles, sloe berries and honey.Draupnir is a perfect fit with meat or grilled fish as well as salads." -- importer

Broeckhouse Esrum Kloster...$9.99 / pint
7.5% ABV
"Esrum Kloster has benn developed in cooperation with Esrum Abbey as the modern equivalent of the medieval abbey ale.It is a top-fermented ale brewed with barley, wheat and rye malt, cane sugar along with lemon balm, lavender, rosemary, juniper and anise that grows in the gardens of Esrum Abbey. The color is maroon, the nose is wonderfully strong and the taste is especially full and aromatic. This ale goes well with heavy meat dishes such as venison." -- importer

Italian beer...

Birra del Borgo 25 Dodici...$15.99 / 25.4oz
"Birra Del Borgo was founded in May of 2005 not too far away from Italy’s capital Rome {about 60 miles northwest}. Leonardo di Vincenzo was originally trained in biochemisrty but started brewing beer as a hobby during his college years.

Malt: Pilsner malt, munich malt, vienna malt, cara munich malt, caraweizen, chocolate malt.
Hops: Hallertau Northern brewer, Hallertau hersbrucker, styrian golding, simcoe.
Spice: Bitter orange peel
Dark amber with a beige-colored foam. The nose is dominated by fruity notes such as berries, plums and orange as well as spicy notes such as pepper and corriander. Chestnut honey and definite hints of chocolate enrich the aroma. On the palate, 25 Dodici is rich and full bodied. The fruity notes are well balanced with the maltiness." - importer

Beer news...

*** Bell's Batch 9,000 update. It should be released in May, but because of Missouri registration we might not see it until August. Jim from Bells said that they are describing it as Batch 7,000 on steroids. It will be very limited.

*** We just got word that Founders is coming to St. Louis in a few months.
Read more on STLHops.

*** Also announced is Grand Teton Brewery, Jacksons Hole's original is also coming to St. Louis. From their website, it looks like Missouri will only be their 13 state for distribution.
http://grandtetonbrewing.com/
"Grand Teton Brewing Company is the original brewery of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. We have been brewing our handcrafted beers at the base of the Tetons since 1988. 2008 is our 20th Anniversary ! " --brewery

***Another note:
Today is release day for Stone Imperial Russian Stout. I took the liberty of adding St. Louis to their map and emailing them. (They distribute in the blue states, look at the neglected midwest)
