La Grande Blanche - A must try!

La Grande Blanche Imperial White Ale

"Beautiful hazy golden color capped by bright white foam. Floral and tropical fruit aromas followed by a soft wheaty palette. Finishes with a hint of hop and coriander spice notes. A bit more body than many Belgian Wits, but still stylish and refreshing. 96 points - World Beer Championships." -- Importer

Woodford Kentucky Derby Edition

Secretariat 35th Anniversary Artwork
Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby....$34.99 / liter
Collectors edtion -- 35th Anniversary of Secretariat Winning.

"Internationally acclaimed artist LeRoy Neiman has created a dynamic image to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the great Secretariat winning the 99th Kentucky Derby on May 5,1973.

Neiman's vibrant portrayal captures the speed, beauty and grace of Secretariat and jockey Ron Turcotte as they near the finish line beneath the legendary Twin Spires of Churchill Downs. Secretariat's brilliant final time of 1:59 2/5 for the 99th Run for the Roses established a track record that still stands today.

"Secretariat, the big red super horse, electrified all of racing in 1973. As no other, he captured the public's fancy, to become one of the twentieth century's most glamomrous athletes," says Neiman.

Neiman's 35th Anniversary Commemorative Prints are available in three editions, all measuring 18x24". The Offical Edition Poster retails for $40.00. An Artist Signed Edition personally signed by LeRoy Neiman is $125.00, and a Triple Signed Foil Stamped Edition personally signed by Neiman, owner Penny Chenery and jockey Ron Turcotte is available for $250.00.

A percentage of the proceeds of the art sales of these commemorative editions will be donated to The Secretariat Foundation. The mission of The Secretariat Foundation is to assist and support various equine charities and causes within the throroughbred racing community." -- Woodford

Walter Hansel - Great Chardonnay!

In stock now...
2005 Walter Hansel Chardonnay North Slope....$29.99
"The last releases of Chardonnays from the brilliant 2005 vintage for this varietal include the 2005 Chardonnay The North Slope Vineyard. Burgundian notes of hazelnut, brioche, white currants, and hints of peach and crushed rocks are impressive and intense. This is a full-bodied Chardonnay with crisp acidity that should age nicely for 5-6 years. It was aged in French cooperage (mostly Francois Freres and about 49% new oak).

A terrific source of sensational Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays made very much in the style of the wines proprietor Stephen Hansel loves the most, white and red Burgundies, this 80-acre estate continues to build on a brilliant track record of high quality wines offered to consumers at sensationally fair prices."
Rated 93/100 The Wine Advocate

O'Fallon Pappy Van Winkle 23yr Old Smoked Porter

In Stock now!

O'Fallon's Pappy Van Winkle 23yr Barrel Aged Smoked Porter

$15.99 / 22oz bottle
Very Limited!

"THIS VERSION OF OUR WHISKEY BARREL SMOKED PORTER is really special. And that's saying a lot because we're pretty proud of the last two editions of our barrel-aged porter. In fact Jason and Todd Alstrom reviewed it in their August 2007 Beer Advocate, gave it an A- and called it "an incredibly complex and enjoyable brew -- big thumbs-up to O'Fallon. Great on its own, as a digestif or paired with some chocolate."

Anyway, this particular batch is extra special because of the oak barrels it was aged in. They showed up in the brewery one day last year, and Brian thought they were awfully old and dusty, nothing like those we'd acquired from the same source in Kentucky before. He called to question the senders and was shocked and awed to learn these particular kegs had stored "Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve" 23-year-old bourbon, one of the most highly acclaimed bourbons in history! Brian figures those barrels were first filled with bourbon when he was in about the second grade -- where were you in 1984?

So we filled up the barrels and did our usual aging routine, carefully adjusting the storage temperature to let the beer work in and out of the wood of these special charred oak barrels. Of course the brewers had to taste it every now and then as it aged (of course!) and, over time, the flavors of the bourbon began to blend with the beer. It soon became clear this Pappy Van Winkle version of our Whisky Barrel Smoked Porter was going to be a rare treat." -- Derek, O'Fallon Brewery

New Beer Glass

Budweiser has just released a new glass with an etched bottom.
What does this do?
The carbonation attaches to the edges of the etching and then they continuously release. This keeps a steady stream of bubbles going to the top of the glass which constantly releases the aroma to enhance the total beer experience. We have the glasses in stock for only $1.99 each.

Great Bordeaux

2005 Château Bellevue Cuvée Vieilles Vignes
This is a great new 2005 Bordeaux that was made by the former winemaker at Cheval Blanc and it was aged in used Haut Brion barrels!! Those two wines in the 2005 vintage sell for over $900 a bottle. Even though this is not a first growth, it is an amazing blend of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is worth a case in your cellar to enjoy now and over the next 10 years.
